ASUS looks at Windows Phone

Vice president of mobility solutions ASUS Benson Lin gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal, in which he spoke of the possibility of Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 on smartphones and tablets company.

Speaking of smartphones, Lin noted that ASUS "is interested in the issue of Windows Phone devices," but at this point the specific dates when these smartphones appear on the market, they do not.

It turns out, ASUS thinks about moving the concept Padfone (a hybrid smartphone and tablet) for the mobile operating system of Microsoft. However, unfortunately, now manufacturers have to be installed on smartphones Windows Phone 8, but on tablets Windows 8/RT, which are different products, so skillfully combine them into a single device is still very difficult. Microsoft has set quite strict limitations on the specifications for Windows Phone smartphones and tablets on Windows 8/RT, so in the near future we are unlikely to see a 7 - or 10-inch Soup working on WP8 or 4-5-inch smartphone with Windows RT on board.

It is likely that the situation will change with the release of Windows Blue (release planned for mid-2013). It is expected that the new operating system has even more to bring together mobile and desktop version.
